Welcome to the mystery of fishing. 1.Try fishing just above them as that seems to provoke a bite.
2.Try to figure out what type of baitfish they may be feeding on and “match the hatch” as it were.
3.Move to another spot as those fish may just be “resting” in that part of the water column.
And when you think you have it figured out. Tomorrow will be different.

fish finders sadly dont tell you what kind of fish you are seeing
could be fish that dont eat the kind of bait you are showing them

That's why it's called fishing and not catching.

Crappie is easy to tell on a fish finder, they show up on a vertical school, bottom feeders, not so much. Bass likes to suspend and travel in horizontal schools...….sometimes. Depending on the depth fish are at sometimes tells you what you need to throw. ex; Don't throw a top water at fish that are at 20 ft of water. We have lots of catfish, gar, and carp that show up on the screen, and some get very large. Good luck

And if you come back tomorrow that's the spot you want to hit.
