Headed to Lake Sacakawea as they say in N. D. over to New Town, N. D. Fishing was great for 13” to 14”ers. Had to work to catch keepers.
It was tuff fishing, lots of wind but had a great time.

What's the limit? Or is there one? Nice bunch of fish and some tasty filets. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to the Forum, CatchinWallies. I have been thinking about giving Lake Sakakawea a try. I gave Devils Lake a shot last year and was very disappointed. You will not catch a walleye during the daylight hours on Devils Lake. Maybe in the fall, but not in the Spring. Is Sakakawea like that, a night lake? Did you catch anything decent, 27", 28", 29"? We did catch some decent sized walleyes on Devils Lake but nothing over 27". Please advise.

5 per day on walleye, 2 of us fishing, last fish on right is a small mouth. 1st days catch was 8 fish. Possession limit is 10 per person, 5 per day.

The big ones are there and can be caught during daylight hours. A good day on the lake would be a limit of walleye between 20” and 25”. Our timing wasn’t right.

Thank you, CW. I never keep a walleye over 20" to eat, but I do like to catch them over 20". The hook set on a big walleye and the head shake gives me the greatest feeling on earth.

I occasionally here a popping noise in the computer that must be why mine has that scratch and sniff feature. Or one day this screen will go blank and those little capacitors inside are done cooking.
