Is this a hybrid fish or not?

I’m fishing in a pond in Texarkana Texas. Most what we catch are striped bass, brim, Sunperch, and crappie. This fish has a big mouth and unusual coloring. There’s a lot of bluegill brim as well in this pond. Can you tell me what kind of fish this is? See attached pictures.

Now I’m just guessing but that looks like a giggle eye that has been deep but just moved into shallower water. It’s a nice one. Goggle not giggle.

That's what we call a warmouth its almost like a mix between a bream and crappie or bass . irdk ???

Warmouth perch. When they are feeding they will hit anything.

Less than 9 feet which is deepest part of pond.

Looks like a Rock Bass to me

Fred you’re correct, we used to catch them in the spring bedding on the mossy covered edges of the 100 acre pond in the cow pasture, find a hole and drop the worm in on a cane pole, thread then on a forked limb and headed home for mom to help us clean and cook many years ago, but still a great memory 🎣
