If you're going to tube San Diego Bay watch out for Navy war ships and SEALs in Zodiacs. Especially the SEALs, they'll be doing about 60 knots or so. Yeah there's a speed limit, you tell em that.

In San Diego bay there's Spanish Landing.
Tidelands in National City and Glorietta Bay in Colorado.
No speed limits in San Diego Bay but there are speed limits in Mission Bay.
I don't know where to launch in Mission Bay.

Hi Percy, I have Mission Bay in the past but have the best luck in the South Bay south of the bridge. I fish from my boat so I don't know where to put in your tube, maybe at tidelands park area just over the bridge on the Coronado side. The best artificial bait I've been using is Kalens Lunker grub 3" Rons Craw will catch a lot of Spotted Baybass, I've also caught Halibut, Croaker, Shortfin Corvina, Sandbass, Mackeral, Jack Smelt, Midshipman, and some very large Batrays that have pulled my 15' alum deep V boat around until I could see what it was, always hopping for a large Halibut before breaking it off. Caught Halibut up to Over 32". I caught 40 spotties on the east side of bay west of the deep channel last week. I'll be out there on Monday in the area of the Mercy ship area if she is back at her dock, which is a little south of the first red bouy just south of the bridge. Like Spirit said watch out for the navy boats keep your air horn ready to let them know you're there. I've had a few close calls that I know was on purpose, but most stay wide of fisherman. They fly around a lot. Larry.

Yeah those Navy guys do speed.
One time when our kids were little we were fishing in the bay. Myself, wife a two kids in the boat. They came pretty close to us and the wake knocked the kids down.
He just turned his head around to see what he did and keep on going.
