Why fret about quarantine or social distancing! Have you ever thought about just kicking back with an adequate quantity of adult beverage, a bushel of popped pop corn and watch all of Lonesome Dove in one setting?
Or if you are a truly high brow and lean to classics I’m sure there cds of Shakespeare or others that last for a similar length of time. Just Sayin...RJS

That’s a great idea. I’ve never seen Lonesome Dove from start to finish. I think I was working nights when it came out. This work thing gets in the way of a lot of fun things I’d rather do.
Well Hoss, saddle up and ride all the way from the Rio Grande to Montana! My wife took three nights but could have done it in one! Just Sayin...RJS

You’ve convinced me Robert. I will change my ways and make the journey.
Watch closely and see if you can spot them playing mumbley peg! This was something boys played when I was a kid. Just sayin...RJS
Great movie I've watched it a few times
'Lonesome Dove' is one of the finest mini-series ever to be shown on TV and certainly the best western, IMO. Others that I consider great mini-series worth re-watching were 'The Pacific' and 'The Holocaust'. An earlier mini-series that I recall watching was the 70's 'Rich Man, Poor Man', with Nick Nolte.
I watched another Robert Duval movie last night...also starring Michael Caine & always worth another viewing: 'Second-Hand Lions.'
Agreed, RJ: Nothing better than good movies with drinks and popcorn in the privacy of one's own home.

Secondhand Lions is a great movie. How can you go wrong with Robert Duvall and Michael Caine.
Stuco: a personal favorite of mine is an almost cult Mexican movie: The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez, and has almost stunning photography. Just Sayin...RJS

I’ll look that one up too. Thanks Robert.
I've binge watched a couple of series on the tube. Never got into Game of Thrones until around season 6 or so. Took three weeks to go through it. Done a few others since then. Just nothing worth watching so many nights that you have to go to the series.

If there was ever a better western than Lonesome Dove, I never heard about it. The Pacific and The War were both great stuff. The War was the documentary of the war in Europe. Wonderful shows. They will make you feel small and mortal.
Second Hand Lions is one of my most favoritist movie shows. These two old guys had this huge pack of dogs that would run back and forth and bark at salesmen. You need to study that pack. One of them is a pig.
BF, I think you have great taste in movies.
