Just got back home a little while ago. Had a good time and went fishin a few times. Caught bout 20 fish altogether. Tony took 11 fish home with him, 10 bass and one catfish.
Said he'd been fishin that lake for 6 or 7 years and hadn't caught a single fish. Late Sunday evenin we were fishin and I had caught 2 and lost a couple and Tony hadn't got a bite. It was about time to leave so I gave him my rod and told him to use it and catch one while I cleaned the fish. Just as I finished with the second one he catches one about 2 1/2 pounds. He is so jazzed he doesn't know what to do. We take a pic and I tell him to catch another one and I'll clean that one. Just as I finish cleanin that one he hooks up again. It's 9PM and nearly dark. He gets it in after it had jumped 3 or 4 times and it's a little bigger than his first one, mayby 2 3/4 pounds. He was so excited he could hardly stand it. The fish threw the swimbait off the hook so he had to quit fishin.
Was prolly the best part of the whole trip for me. I couldn't have been prouder than for him to finally catch some fish in his lake. He really wants me to come back up there and take him fishin again. I'll try to post the pics.

Glad you got out and had a good time. Also glad your friend caught him some fish on your rod at that. Sounds like a memorable day.

Your back and none of us behaved. That's really cool you helped a guy catch fish and experience something some of have many times. Maybe he will set up his rig like you did and learn how to get it done.

Glad you had a good time, and made it back safe and sound. Looks like the only thing left to teach your buddy is how to flash a smile for the pictures. It obvious you’ve got it down, your smile is enough to convince us he had a good time too! Way to go!

Did you tell him that fish slime on his hands make his fingernails disappear in two weeks?
