What a crappie day fishing

Caught this nice size crappie and some other small fish but put rod on ground and a fish took off with the pole at Smith Mountain Lake VA. Fun day anyway..

Thanks threw it back. I don’t eat fish . Caught 15 spot monday.gave to man next to me on pier

Had a fish snatch a rod out of my boat once. After that, I made brackets and mounted rod holders to my boat.
This solved all my problems. Never had that happen again.

Happened to me once , you'll never forget this, and anyone else who was with you will always somehow find a way to bring that into the conversation lol, nice fish.

Brand new rood and reel, sat them down in my boat on the wolf river in Wisconsin and you guested it some fish took the rig right out of my boat, DARN.

Could relate to your predicament....LOL...I had 2 almost simultaneous bites, trying to pick up second rod and kick it accidentally off the hitching post and the fish run-off with my rod.!...sucks###....tried to set the first rod second time,...but the fish GONE dude!..#$%^&*...so my pardner advised me (laughing)..." to not kick the rod before setting the hook!"....big time!...

Remember to fish the same area and you may catch the rod n reel. I've actually caught 2 in a lake before by dragging the bottom.

Tnx sure do....maybe early winter time, when the H2O gets shallow!
