Yesterday I was fishing bridges in the bayou with red worms trying to catch some blue gill to stock the little pond with. Hung up on a few red fish on an ultra light reel and landed one. Also hung up on a few speckled trout. Never in my life had I known that redfish would eat redworms. I reckon I've been doing it wrong the whole time 😂

Guess they are opportunists...they will hit what is normal for that area. I've had great luck with rattletraps while fishing some of the bayous...

I do pretty good fishing with the doa or voodo shrimp and live finger mullet. Or live shrimp. Depends on where I'm at... I had caught bluegill before in the area but I reckon it was meant to be a surprise for me to catch that red. Lol never imagined on red worms. Lol

My dad was in the Chevelles and the Roulettes with John Senn. Your name reminded me of the bands. They were on the radio and made records in the Midwest.

Interesting...just down the road here in the Panhandle...DOA works great, spent the extra money for the voodoo shrimp no luck not even a chaser going after it. Best live bait here is pinfish...problem with shrimp is the pinfish attack them immediately... The pinfish also take the eyes, legs & parts of the tails off the DOA...darn crooks...

OK let's compare notes...best luck is clear with gold flakes regardless of water quality. 1/4 not 1/2 ounce.

Maybe your connected to John Senn. I think he lived in Iowa. Maybe one White sheep in a family of Black Sheep

Yep. Clear with gold flakes or the penny color. Has been OK. But not as successful as the clear with gold flakes.
