I don't usually keep the fish I catch, and I've taken so many pictures in the past that they all begin to look alike. My neighbor, however, has been bugging me to bring him a fish, so when I got this 2.5# bass, I kept it for him. Here's a picture he gave me:

Charred on the outside, rare on the inside. Looks terrible but reported to be delicious.

My wife won't eat bass at all. I was cleaning one once and noticed some tiny black spots. On close inspection, we could see the spots moving. I checked with IF&W and the guy told me that they were harmless parasites that would "cook up as good as the fish". That didn't satisfy her.

I'd try it. Ain't no snails in there is there? Squeeze on a little lime juice, what the hell?

Don't bother plum, they are nothing to write home about. They taste as that one looks.

I eat them all the time, but they aren’t as tasty as crappie or bluegill. Still not bad, and it doesn’t take as many to make a meal.

Now that is different. I do crab on top of trout often, but now you got me thinking.

Glad I got my cataract surgeries. Unlike you old fa$#s(I don't know if that word is allowed), I can now see the difference between a gravy like glaze and charcoal LOL. Looks great and likely taste even better

I still like mine filleted and soaked in Franks Hot Sauce and rolled in flour then fried to a golden brown.
