Hey Texas fishin' friends. Some of my family are flying in to San Antonio July 4th. Our AirBnB has been cancelled, so we thought we might drive down to Corpus to spend a day at the Texas State Aquarium. We will have 7 Adults and my 3 great grandkids ages 8, 6, and 3. Adults range in age from 18 to 75(that's me). Want to show the greats the beach either near the Aquarium or on South Padre Island. Anyone on here have access to lodging for that many for the dates of 7/6 thru 7/7 or maybe 7/8? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Things are in a bit of an uproar right now and we are assuming the flights will be honored. Thanks ya'll.

To S-o-c62; Here is some info
I hope will help you with your dilemma; I don't know your budget, so I'm working with the
information given !

PRICELINE.COM - For dates given
(7/6 to 7/8) for 10 people
(7 adults/3 young children) in Corpus Christi, Tx. (this hotel is only 10 min. drive to Aquarium)

Location: LaQuinta Inn and Suites/ Wyndham
Address: 5155 I-37
Corpus Christi, Tx. 78408
Some double rooms sleep 4,
some sleep 5 people, so you may have to rent at least two rooms !

Good news on this deal is that
if you book it quickly/soon, it
is discounted from $157/night
(per room) to only $67/ night ! You could save a bundle for deluxe accomodations not
much more than a 'stone's
throw' from your destination !

Hope this helps; it was the best
I could do on a quick search
with my phone !

Looked a little further trying to find other accomodations, but many were either high-priced
(for cabins/cottages) or sold
out/no vacancies ! Hope what I did find helps you and yours !

I went to Texas for my sons US Air Force BMT grad week stuff. I researched Texas Hotels...Motels...There is a song but I don't like Rap Music. Anyway. Most of the places near where we were going with a decent price had BED BUGS... Hopefully yours doesn't. The one we stayed at didn't. I think it was Travel Lodge. It was an Average Motel etc...but average with no BB...that is Bed Bugs..not Bad Bobby....or Bed BOBBY...or BAD BUGS.. :):)

Thanks, guys. I'll do some research. Well, my 25 year old college student granddaughter may do it for me. Hate having to change plans midstream(fishing joke) but this pandemic has changed a lot of plans and this is more an inconvenience. Hopefully it won't cost more money for the family. BTW, hope all are staying safe and your communities are also with all the demonstrations across the country. Austin has had some mostly peaceful but the later it gets the more rowdy. Have had lots of spray painting at the police department and damage at the State Capitol. Crowds closing I-35 and a woman killed Monday night crossing the interstate downtown. Lots of looting, starting fires etc. Some using this incident as an excuse to start trouble. Closing Target Stores due to looting. Guess some people needed a new TV. Be safe ya'll.
