Am I the only one that has as many lures as Walmart? And a lot of them have not been in the water yet. Moved to East Texas a few years ago. Planned to do a lot of fishing; then got into the cattle business, had to something with all that grass!!!! Supposed to be retired; friends say I'm retarded for getting into the cattle business. Sold most of the cattle, now maybe I can get the lures wet.
Just like to say that I have been reading posts for a couple of week and enjoy the comments both educational and joking about. KEEP IT UP, THANKS

Welcome run and gun to this group of knuckleheads. You can't have too many fishing lures. It's like women with shoes. No such thing as too many.
Welcome R&G. Glad to have you join our group.
Welcome runandgun. Where abouts in east Texas? That's a mighty big area, in case you haven't noticed. And what kinda critter do you fish for? Had a ol boy on here earlier with a photo of a frog. It's all good.
Like the comment about "women and shoes". Glad my wife is not on here!!!

Welcome to the neighborhood. Those of us afflicted refer to it as GAS. Gear Accumulation Syndrome. Mostly about large amounts of rods, reels and terminal tackle and boats, but I believe it applies to piles of lures which have yet to hit the water, too. There is a nice support group here. Hope you get a chance to wet a line, soon.

True. Let's just say clothes and all the accessories including jewelry.
Cattle business. You must of dealt with a LOT of BULL——
Ten minutes south of Lake Fork Mr. Spirt of 27. The lake gets a lot of "fishing pressure" from all the guys from the D/FW area. My wife and I like shallow water fishing and so do tons of others. So the fish have seen lots of different lures. We don't have fancy electronics so not adept at deep water fishing. Guides cost $400 so out of our budget. We have caught nice 8-10 pounders in the past before the "large mouth base" hit the lake sometime after the turn of the century, but none recently.
