100%. ive got a couple that a super thin, micrscopic vent holes all over, and its SPF 60 or something. If youre pale like me and can burn through a shirt thats super important. Theyre more effective in direct sunlight since sun on exposed skin heats you up really quickly. Its the exact same idea as wearing full body covering white robes in desert countries.

Most important of all is prevention of Skin Cancer. Being fair skinned, I've always stayed 100% covered up, lathered in Sun Block. I'be had several biopsy that were negative, but 2 years ago I had a fast growing cancer on my face and ended up loosing a piece of my ear. Take it from someone who's been there, take all the precaution you can.

I was impressed with my sun shirt. It seemed to reduce sun burn. I’m not sure if it is cooler or not. The hunting shirts breathe well let water vapor and heat out. Color makes big difference on heat from sun

I really enjoy my two. I firmly believe I feel cooler and the SPF to prevent sunburn has worked for me. Don’t want to deal with skin cancer!

I was a bit skeptical at first but, I bought a Huk long sleeved hooded fishing shirt. I wanted something to stay cooler and prevent sunburn. Was I pleasantly surprised since this shirt did both of these things perfectly. Now, I have a couple of these and they’re the only shirts I wear fishing!
