LOL, saw that joke when Mt St Helens blew in 1980. Only one volcano, but that was enough to fill rain gutters with ash miles ans miles away and destroy one of the most pristine places I have ever seen. Spirit lake was so crystal clear and in the ,middle was so deep as if it was the reverse of the mountain. Camped in the forest by the lake in the 40s. Huge old growth Fir. I have a High School class mate drown in the late 50s, but because of the depth, they never found him. Then the Explosion destroyed it all and filled the lake and forced all the water to flow down the Toutle river, that ran out of it, leaving destruction and trees all the way down stream past I5 and on to the Columbia. What a day.

My family lived in Spokane and Medical Lake.May 18, 1980 was a day to never forget. At 3pm the sky was like night and the falling ash was everywhere. Bless Harry Truman for loving his lodge and believing it was not as bad as it turned out. I have Mt St Helen's ash in my house in Clyde Texas. My dad had the iconic poster of MSH blowing framed and hung in his living room.
