Bringing up the younger generation

Since you guys like pics here is my son with his daughter and son. His daughter caught the trout and you can see my grandson (who is quite young) wielding his tackle off to the side. They both love fishing and the outdoors.

They are fishing with full blown adult fishing tackle. Kids can learn anything if you give them a chance.

Nice pictures! I agree with you. I don't think we do them any service buying cheap barbie, or whatever the latest movie buy this crap star is, cheap combos. They never work well, and they can be taught how to use real rods and reels.

I will admit to have perpetuated this by buying my Grandson an Ironman fishing rod for his Bday a few years back, but I just wanted to plant the seed. This was in February in WI, so I taught him to cast and to flip in the house and now he is hooked. As soon as it is safe, we’re going fishing again...and will share pics.
