How the west was won.

Judge: Zebulon Mc Cahan did you kill that man?

Zeb:"Your Honor, He needed Killin'"

Judge; I know Zeb Mc Cahan to be an honest man. I've never known him to lie!
Case dismissed!

Don’t think I ever saw even 1 of his movies I didn’t like. The DUKE was a great man. Really miss him makin new movies. Probably seen them all a dozen or more times and still never pass one up to watch.

My three favorite Duke movies, the order of preference: The Quiet Man. The Searchers. The Shootist. Funny that my favorite is not a western at all, doesn't even take place in the U.S. Still a classic and Wayne's best in my opinion.

I really enjoy Cahill. Reminds me of some of my favorite areas we ride the horses to. Maybe it was filmed there.

It wasn't the Duke. It was a television series and it starred James Arness and Matthew McConaghay.

I am sorry but we are not on the same page! How the west was won was not Cahill U.S. Marshal. One was a tv show and the other was a movie. Zebulon Mc Cahan not Cahill.

They wanted The Duke for the role of Dillon in Gunsmoke but he turned it down. He was too busy with his movie career. He suggested his good friend, James Arness to the studio for the role.

NP I had just watched Cahill again - one of my favorite Duke Movies so was fresh on the mind. Take care and be safe out there.
