You definitely should! There is a zen to it. Easy to get lost in the ripples as the river continually passes you by.

That's a great question my friend. I caught this one on a fly I had laying around in my box. It was a size 22-24 grey emerger with an iridescent strip down its back thorax and a small brown tail. I lost two (a brown and a rainbow) on a fly that looked like a rainbow warrior and would have kept using it but lost it. I have had luck with top secret Midges and rs2 this time of year. I always put those about 16 inches below a San Juan. Also a very small indicator helps show those most subtle bites. If I come across the name of that fly I will update you. Stay fishy!

Thanks for the response! I was trying out some rs2's and top secrets below a JuJu baetis but didn't even seem to get a nibble but I guess thats the way she goes sometimes.

Nice trout, they sure pretty this time of the year. How do you keep your tip top and upper guides from freezing in those temps.
