Went fishing on a 4 1/2 ac. pond today 12:00 to 2:00 At 1:45 pm I hooked in to a bass that was 6 lbs and 12 oz. Caught 16 bass in 2 hrs. and also caught a bass that weighed 6 lbs. and 8 oz. Also caught a bass that weighed 5 lbs and 8 oz. Caught 4 others that weighed between 4.25 lbs and 4.85 oz.
I am 71 years old, born and raised in the Arkansas Delta. Have fished all my life and caught many bass, bream, catfish, and crappie and others. I lived in Texas for 15 years and never landed a bass larger than 6lbs. I hooked into maybe 15 bass that were larger than 10 lbs., but never were able to get them into the boat. Bad back can't fish in a boat anymore
The biggest bass I caught was on a custom bream wake bait. The 6.8 bass I caught on a Mega Bass Griffin. The 5.8 bass was on a Bagley small fry yellow belly bream. The 4 pounders were caught on a Frog 120 Choppo topwater bait. I fished soft worms, but the bass wanted something moving. I live in Gahanna OH.

Sounds like a good year, or lifetime for many of us. What a great two hours. You must have had a tight line the whole time!
