I have supertuned ALL of my reels, spinning and bait casting and really like the results, but quite honestly I am not really sure the cost is justified by the results. I put this out there not as a recommendation, but as an opportunity for someone who thinks they want to do this to save some money.

What is all included? Clean it and lube it. A bearing isn't like an engine or gear ratio. I guess I am happy with a good working piece of equipment. In a car ...boat ...or other motorized machine HP makes it perform better but a reel simply turns. I'm sure a guy or gal would like a higher gear ratio for retrieving a fish but a different brand bearing is simply a bearing. Am I missing something?

Yes, bearings can indeed make a significant difference. Bearings are graded, most are rated Abec 3. Typical upgrades are Abec7 which is next to the highest rating. What does that mean to you? Quite honestly, as I said earlier I am not sure it is worth the investment for the average angler...but I will say I can cast the same distance with substantially less effort than before the upgrades. For an older guy who casts all day, that was a good investment for me and what I wanted. Also, I find that for me I do not backlash as much, mainly due to the fact that I am not throwing the bait as hard.

The last time I took a reel apart I threw it away lol. No money saved. Waisted my time tho. Now I just by another one as needed.lol.

Same here for most of them. I clean my Abu Garcia 5501. The rest of them are obviously disposable because the silly manufacturers incorporate so much plastic into them. They probably hope they break. Engineered to make sure the Executives get one more Vacation by doing so.
