Minnow Trap Bait

Loxahatchee River in Florida has lots of bass, snook which hit on shiners but once you’re out of shiners, lures aren’t much help. The fish have seen plenty of fishing pressure. Need to catch my own live bait but bread in the trap not working. Suggestions?

What does the law say about capturing and what is a bait fish? Cast nets?

I put 3 shrimp in mine. Thats all you need. But thats in salt or brackish water for mud minnows

Break up some crabs or mussels. Save lobster carcasses. Once used a white styrofoam cup that worked.
