I was thinking of purchasing these lures. Last year I started getting into soft plastics ie. Crayfish, lizards etc. I used just worms before that. I dubbed year of the rubber. This year been out 2 times and hit large mouth on rubber and nothing else. So I dubbed this year as year of the rubber 2.0 . so I was wondering what everyone thinks of these ??? I know I could probably find a better price.

Hi Rob,
Those are the first maribou claws I have ever seen, but I would bet they’d work for bass on a Ned rig, or a stand up jig of some sort. Bounce it slightly off the bottom next to rocks or over gravel and hang on!

I was thinking the same thing. I got lucky and received some of the new champ draws by berkley and I'm going to try them on the small mouth bass Saturday. But I seen these and I was thinking they would be great for small mouth also. Thanks for the input

Oh I will. Just got my water resistant phone bags so when I'm wading I can take pictures.

Your gonna catch more fish and bigger fish with these type lures. Black & blue is an excellent choice on a jig head. Same color. Consider brown, orange, yellow combinations in different sizes. It is a crawfish imitation.

Try the Powerbait Chigger Craw in that same color. I catch a ton of bass on them and they hold up well.

I'm a big fan of Berkley powerbait stuff. The maribou claws caught my eye.

You won't know until you try them. Might be just the ticket or it might be a gimmick. The thing I like about the Chigger Craw is the longer tentacles in between the claws, gives them lots of action.

I agree it could work or not. I was thinking maybe its something the bass haven't seen. I was just seeing if anyone else would try them. I think I'm going to order them and try. Could be a bust. I'll order some chiggers craws also . can't hurt to have a few extra things. Last year I tried a lot of things and a few did nothing for me. But when the bite was nothing and I tried them at the end of the year and they caught fish. Go figure.

I started hitting the soft plastics hard about 2 years ago. Got to know the crawdads pretty well and caught a lot of fish with them. This year my goal is to learn trick and finesse worms and ned rigging. So far I have done pretty well with a fluke tailed worm rigged weightless with a 4/0 EWG worm hook. Still early in the season, but it looks promising already. Good luck with those crawdads and keep us posted!

Sounds like you are getting pretty good. I'll keep trying with the mudbugs . you never know how it will go until you do it. I don't count days , I make them count .
