Thanks. Oregon rules no bait no soft lures. Pretty much flies only.

Found a good place to have a problem hope they get your transportation fixed soon and right.

Wouldn't want you to suffer too much.

Lol

Some rivers are no natural bait. Some it is legal.

Yeah, I can think of very few places that can top Bend, for getting stuck in. Beautiful city good folks abound, excellent wading water, right in town. And, DBEd, that ain't "rough water"...... that's good trout-holding water !

Hope your truck is ok and welcome to the some of the PRETTIEST waterways in North America.... have a Deschutes microbrew before you leave town, and if you are looking for a good steak for dinner, you can't beat the "Pine Tavern".....mmmmm, the peppersteak ! Good luck and welcome to the state represented by Ducks and Beavers !

Used to catch lots of nice trout in the Deschutes drifting crawfish.

In town isn’t the best of fishing. Not many fish and mostly small browns. If you head up, or down stream, the fishing gets substantially better. Caught 20 brookies & rainbows( smallest 15” & largest 23”) upstream last week. And there’s a massive salmonfly hatch down stream, that drives the redsides crazy. Today’s weather will put those big bugs in flight and fishing should be epic this weekend. I’m pretty sure you are stuck in town till truck is fixed, but maybe on your way out. Good luck and tight lines!!

How far up or downstream? I'm on foot. Where I went I think it's called Sawyer Park.
