5/12/202. Started this morning about a quarter to six and by six fifteen had three keepers. Stopped at 9:30. Ended up with ten keepers with three of them just making the min length (10 inches min here in TX) A couple at 13 +.
Did not leave the slip because wind was forecast to hit 30 MPH. Started out at 0 but by 9:30 it was getting up.
Shad came through the marina about 7:30 and then things got slow. I do not know if they filled up on shad or left chasing the shad.
Caught 3 or four that were under size. All swallowed the hook so deep you could not remove it so just cut the line as close as I could to the hook. I have always heard that was the thing to do. Had no idea how many live after that happens.

Thanks for sharing, three Cs. Unfortunately, you look a lot like me, hearing aids, bald, and glasses. Oh, well, ,,, whatever!

WHERE'S YOUR HAT?? You don't want to flirt with cancer. I'm 1 to talk mine hangs on the passenger side headset! As for the gut hooked fish I'm reasonably sure the fish will make it. Sometime ago I caught a catfish that had a jig in it and plastic tail of the jig was comming apart. The bad thing with that cat was it had 2' of line hanging out its mouth.

Only took it off for photo. Regular dermatologist check it up every 6 months

I've gut hooked bass and panfish and cut the line. Caught them later the same day and week. No harm. The line was still hanging out of their mouths. Shows that they were still eating.
