I was wondering if anyone had any input on some rods and reels that would be good for snagging? This setup would be used for paddlefish in Oklahoma which can get larger than 100 pounds. Not trying to break the bank but I wouldnt be opposed to spending a little extra to buy something that will last.

I was told to try and find a rod that is 10' or longer due to the extra length being easier to cast. I'm going to be fishing from the bank.

Penn Spinfisher V combo is a solid option and a good place to start looking. All you really need is a heavy surf rod and reel, it seems like most people use 10' around here in Oklahoma.
