Please help! Can you please answer some questions that have been puzzling me?Over the years l have bought many, many lures and haven't found the confidence in them.
Do I have to open them up? Can you tell me exactly where the confidence is, in which part of the lure? Does size matter? Do you get more confidence in larger lures? Does price matter? Do more expensive lures have better confidence?

Welcome Terry, probably 95%. Sometimes your favorite isn't working,but you resist the urge to try something different and miss an opportunity to gain confidence in something else.

You have to catch fish with them to find the confidence. Without catchin fish, it is hard to find the confidence in ANY lure. Just Sayin.

Hello Fishure. You have confused me somewhat. What exactly do you mean "do I have to open them up"? To make an omelet one must break an egg. Confidence in a lure can only come with opening the package, tying the lure to your line & actively try to catch something by repeatedly casting toward structure or other fish holding area. Size is irreverent. You'll catch biggens on small lures as well as small fish that may not be much larger than the lure. Give them all an honest try. You're not going to catch fish every day or every cast. With experience you'll learn which lures seem to work better on bright sunny days or cloudy dark days. You'll figure it out but only if you get out there & get after it. No lure is going to work unless it's wet.
