Welcome to the Forum, Randall. Thanks for filling everything out correctly. Do you have a boat? We do have some members in Idaho, they should be along soon.

Yes I have a boat, but it is a prop, maybe not good for Snake, understand jets are better

Hi Randall, welcome. I'm on the other side of the state. But I love catfish. If I were you I'd leave the bullheads alone and target channel cats. You are in a good area.

Fish the upper dam at lowell for crappie.Out about 30 yds use finder. Go to south end of lake where canal comes in and fish the channel where it enters the lake. Some big cats in there. If you want bullheads go up to paddock, you can catch them two at a time.Nice size I can't hardly get my hand around them.

Try the snake around Homedale fairgrounds and between Marsing and melba. Lake Lowell along the shore in and around the weeds on the west side for catfish. Big shrimp with the shell still on work really good for cats at the lake. Probably catch a few largemouth too.

Yes most of boats are prop jobs. There are alot of sandbars you just learn the river and follow the channels. The jet boats mainly run the cayons, hells canyon, salmon river etc alot of white water, rapids there. You can see sunken jet boat parts in some placeses. Daryle

Thanks, I know the river changes a little every year but are there any maps that show the normal channels in the river?
