Went fishing this morning in the trail waters of beaver dam on White River the water is so clear you can see 6 down feet crystal clear down to the bottom was fishing on the bank and looked down and we are right at a trout hole. There had to be at least 15 to 20 trout I spent 2 1/2 hours throwing everything I had in my tacklebox At these fish and not even a bite I mean I could see them as clear as if they where in my tub .I tried everything I even keep running into them with my lures .I do not Exaggerate i literally spent 2 1/2 hours and could not get a single one to bite even though they were less than 10 feet away for me

Frustrating for sure. Spawning time they are in 3 feet of water right at my dock and same darn thing. I feel your pain Cueball.

Next time, get out of their sight, give it at least a half hour and sling a fly without them seeing you. Might work better.

I was thinking that was probably the problem they could see me as well as I could see them

Do you know how cold the water was? That slows em down considerably.

Cueball76: I don't know if it's legal in your state, but if you can bump them with a lure and they don't take it, try reversing your treble hook from the back to the front where you've tied on to the lure. That way you might surprise one by snagging it! Just Sayin...RJS

You don’t wanna do that, sounds like the luck you was having they would pick out the one lure you didn’t try and lose it on you lol

I don't like the idea of snagging even if it is legal. It isn't here.

Snagging would take the fun out of it hell they were so close I could have netted them but that is not really catching them. I could see it if you are needing the fish to feed your family but I catch and release ok let me change that I hope to someday catch so I can release
