I hate paying $40 for a pair of fishing pants or shirts. Even brands that may not even be fishing clothes but work great for fishing because they are lightweight would be great.

Magellan at Academy always has good prices and are often in the clearance racks! I’ve gotten multiple $12-15 shorts for my husband there. Also, check places like Marshall’s.

Agreed - have many pairs of Magellan shorts and shirts. Good value.

That might depend on where in the world you fish and how fancy you want to look.

Wally world's hunting camo "Jeans" have gotten pretty thin. That is what I wear most of the time. Catch them after hunting season and they go cheap and not expensive to start with..

Likewise on the button up camo shirts, pretty thin, pretty cheap and not expensive to start with.

What I am looking for is a decent rain jacket under $50 that is durable and not rubber or plastic.

I’m in Texas so as cool as can be would be great. I bet the type of clothes you need up there is a lot different.

Yes, it does get warm up here in the summer but most usually 90's F is tops and not often we get more than a month of that. Late spring through early fall, mostly 60's to 80's day time.--snow suit weather for you. LOL

I will say that on the boat it can get toasty in the sun, I have yet to find a shirt for that other than dunking a T shirt in the water and wearing it damp. I tried one of those light polyester vented button-ups and darned if I did not find it hotter.

Columbia from Amazon. You can usually find the bahama and Tamiami shirts for under $20.
