Saturday I went out for the first time in what seems like forever. First time I threw a lure since March 8. My brother Burney picked me up and took me to a private farm pond. It started off with sun shining and got cloudy and chilly bc a front was coming in. I took a little bit of everything with me. I started off with a wacky worm. First cast by the dock and caught a small 1 lb large mouth. Second twitch and boom . figured I wouldn't catch a fish the rest of the day. Well I was pretty much right for 3 hrs. Threw everything I had at the pond and nothing . I decided to try the runcl c curly tail grub in a greenish blue color . I tossed it out bounced off the bottom a few times trying to get the feel and what it does in the water. About 4 feet from the shore and another large mouth came out of no where and snatched it. Another about 1 lb fish maybe a bit lighter. I took that thing around about an acre and half pound and caught a total of 8 bass on it. Mind you nothing mind blowing. In the one picture you will see the lure in its mouth and that thing worked like a champ. Can't wait to try on small mouth on the river below the dam in the slow moving water areas.

That is a 3 inch set up. New to me. Runcl reels ive been using for about 2 yrs. I like them . now I've been using most of there lures . they do the job well and are pretty good quality. Little pricy on some things but you get what you pay for
