Went fishing yesterday

bggent204 Loc: On Lake Meade in East Berlin PA
 
Went out on our lake yesterday nailed 2 4-lb bass w eggs ---- put back gently nailed the buck as well ---- released, hooked into a striper that broke my 6lb line, several perch thrown back and a 5 gal bucket full of great sized crappies. All caught on minis. Looks like's fish fry night, tonight

You think that's how he pronounces minnows? Could be. I seem to recall that from my Hoosier childhood. Might've been my dad, who was from Alabama. He called arrows arries. And was always wanting to borrie somethin from the neighbor.

Spirit i think you just uncovered the question about the name "HOOSIER" !!!!!!! HOOSIER Child HOOSIER daddy Hoosier momma. Ya see is all takes is a little time and effort to figure stuff out .!!! We're so good.lol

I've seen people use that before, I just call them live bait

Where I live it's common for people to call minnows minis. Imagine that. I went back to the top to see the OP's location and he lives in the same area as me. In fact I just drove through East Berlin yesterday on my way up to the Susquehanna River to go catfishing.
