I left a small piece of backstrap out accidentally for a couple days that’s now rotten. Wondering if anyone has tried using it and for what species. Catfish? Small bits for panfish? Ice fishing and open water.

I once caught a sheephead on a skin tag that used to be on my friend's back so, yeah, try out venison and tell us what you catch.

Should be able to catch catfish off that fairly easy.

I’ve caught catfish on old venison sausage before. Any type of meat should would for cats, probably would work for panfish if you cut it up small enough.

Works great for crabbing. I use my scraps . Best crab bait I have used. Would think Catfish would love it.
I use hot dogs for northern pike thru the ice and breakfast sausage for snapper in Florida. I'm sure most any meat will work.
