How far do you’ll think a largemouth bass will run (swim) to get a artificial bait say a spinner bait???

In my case until he's about an inch from my spinner! Never closer.

As much as 7 feet in my experience. Not all the time, of course, but I’ve personally seen it. Saw the 6-3/4# bass turn and run a full seven feet to nail a Dew-Drop char-white I had plopped about ten feet beyond where her hidey hole was. As the blades came by her, the dorsal barely broke water, made a wake, and in two seconds my spinners were inhaled in a boil the size of a gallon bucket. I ended up with the sense that she wasn’t merely hungry, but rather she was really angry; nonetheless, game on. Have also experienced a lot of 4 & 5 ft runs after Devils Horse by small and large fish; some hits, a lot of misses.

in my area it depends a lot on the time of year. Right now we have to put it in their mouth. During warm weather in July and August it seems like they swim all the way across the lake to take the bait.
