Loop at end of line

Hi. I am new to fishing. I just purchased a 3 piece surfcasting rod.

I was just wondering if there is some sort of attachment I can add to the end of my line that will easily slip through the guides. So that I can pack down my rod without having to untie it all the time. Alternatively I was thinking I could maybe have some sort of loop on the end of my line so that when I pull that through my guides I can add a snap or swivel.

Hopefully you understand. Any ideas as to what knots I would use too.

Cheers

The issue is going to be that you want to be checking and retying your knot pretty often, especially if you are fishing for stuff with sharp teeth. If you want to thread it faster then google "line threader tool", there are a bunch out there.

Tactical Anglers Clip in a size that would fit through the guides.

Or just tie every time. You could tie a small spider hitch in there.

Surgeons loop is what you are looking for but it's lazy and it will fail one day, probably in the cast but imagine if it failed while fighting a big fish.

Practice your knots so you can tie them quickly and with confidence. A clinch knot is an easy one to start with.
