Just joined as title says.my passion for freshwater fishing is saugeyes. Semi obsessed with them. Exclusivly targeted them for over 15 yrs now. Favorite way to fish them is at night with jerk baits. Mostly fish alum, some hoover. I try to fish as much as poss. with 3 kids and i work construction, asphalt, so finding as much time is impossible. Ill post reports and pics when there worth while. Welcome to the stage killer47. I don't know a thing about saugeyes, other than that they're a hybrid. We don't have saugers, walleyes or saugeyes here in California that I know of. If you'll put your location into your profile we will know where you're fishing for those things each time you post and we won't have to ask. Looking forward to those photos.

Hello to all and ill update my profile. I knew there was something wrong with California, no saugeyes or walleyes? Ya, but you got salt water fishing. Thats better than fishing for eyes. Stay safe during this shutdown and good fishing.

Welcome Saugeye. My hats off to you. Iām a general contractor and I have a fishing buddy who does asphalt so knowing how hard both of those jobs are plus 3 kids even if you do find time for fishing how do you have the energy. You must be much younger than most of us old farts. lol š. Looking forward to seeing your pictures. Tight lines.

Welcome Saugeyekiller47, I'm a little SW of ya in Beavercreek, just east of Dayton. My neighbor is oringinally from Columbus and he's been after me to fish Alum and Hoover for years. We decided this winter that this is gonna be the year. May run into you sometime this year if it ever warms up. Don't know about you, but we were 27 degrees this morning. Too cold for two old vets to be out in a boat. He's Navy and I'm Marines, guess what we talk about while we fish. LOL Stay safe and healthy and we'll chat and lie to each other on the fishing stage.

Sounds good. Ya, i have to make time. Its more winter and fall when your slows. Fish as much as poss because some yrs its a trip or two in the summer.. Summer goes by so fast cause its daylight to dark many times 7 days a week. But not this yr. Getting to old for that and. Need to enjoy more. A friend is trying to get me to help him do remodeling. Really considering. Any ways good chating with you guys and ill be hopefuly posting pics soon. Good fishing, stay safe. And im 47 by the way. Feeling 57 š
