Fishing in Idaho FYI

Just thought I’d pass along Idaho info from a county Sherriff’s office. They told me they are encouraging people from their county not to leave their county and encouraging folks from other counties not to come to theirs. Then I was told all state parks are open in Idaho. No overnight camping and the boat ramps are closed but if I don’t do anything illegal they can’t do anything about me fishing anywhere. Fishing is still open and they encourage common sense and don’t get near anyone you don’t know and even people you know should adhere to the 6’ distancing rule. Not law, rule. That’s the news from the Sherriff where I called. Cascade Idaho.
We’re not going there but that’s the rule. If you’re from out of state you will be stopped and questioned but I’ve seen lots of vehicles from Oregon and Washington traveling through here and nobody seems to care much. Probably not wise.

Me too Saw. I’m hoping it’s over by tomorrow morning so I can go catfishing at Brownlee reservoir but it don’t sound too promising. My fishing business is optimistic we’ll be on the river by the middle of May but the majority of the program includes Washington State and it’s not sounding good right now for there. Not by May 11th anyway. 😏. That’s gonna knock the socks off of my annual income this year. Like 30 grand. Hopefully the people ordering everything have thought of a plan for that kind of stuff. I know they’re just trying to do the right thing but we need to survive some how and $1200.00 once or maybe twice won’t help things any. We’ll have more than that in late fees by the time we get it. If it’s even coming at all. It was supposed to be here two weeks ago. Haven’t seen mine yet. 🤷‍♂️

We’ll keep in touch. Because there’s not enough ice to get out on it and too much to get a recovery boat out there we’re going to brownlee catfishing next trip. There’s never anybody there within site until late spring and all summer. We were there before the pandemic and we were the only ones there. Hopefully it’s still that way when we go next time. Not a whole lot of bad weather fishermen around any more. We fished for steelhead all winter and some times we couldn’t see each ether through the snow storm and we were only 50 to 100 feet apart. Had a blast too. Layered up and hit the river👍. People are like “how are you guys catching so many fish?” “Uh. We’re going fishing”. 🥴

Yeah its nice to see a hot picture but sooner or later variety is the spice of life. Cat F Hunter.....from what I understand Oregon Fishing is open. Some Boat Ramps are inaccessible because of being located in a park that may be closed. I have not ever been to Brownlee but if there is access in Oregon maybe you can get on the water but I do not know about the check stations operating currently or not. If and when I can ever get retired I have considered doing the Pikeminnow thing too. I have talked to some older guys that were doing the Pikeminnow thing 21 years ago and most of them that could do it daily could usually make about $20G a year. I would figure that may be 40 these days but I don't know.

CH would your business be eligible for one of the small business loans I've heard about? I sure don't know all the details, but it might be worth looking into?

I think we should assemble, go to China and kill every bat in Asia.

I understand that China is re-opening the "wet meat" markets. What the f* is wrong with those people? And by those people I mean the people in charge. That country is basically a dictatorship and if chairman Xi wanted to shut them down, they would be shut down. I don't get it.
