With Michigan banning the use of any watercraft with a motor due to Covid 19, here is my solution to still getting on the water while enjoying some peace and quiet while fishing

Nice catch and nice ride G-Dude. That's the first canoe I have seen on here. Is that all wood or is the outside a different material?

How stable and can you stand to fish?

I have to assume a trolling motor might work. The problem is at the boat launches where people are not keeping a 6 ft distance. The canoe is kevlar but not stable enough to stand up in. I prefer a canoe over a kayak due to gear storage. I can bring a min of 5 poles with me along with all of my tackle.

In my youth I spent many an hour in a canoe on lakes that looked just like that one. Good times.

I have spent many an hour in a canoe. Every Sept I go on a week fishing trip and all we use are canoes. We have caught musky and sturgeon also out of a canoe.

All I have at my place in Tahoe is my Coleman Scanoe. I have a little 3HP 4 stroke for it. I just love it.

No doubt Gordon. Gonna get him out in a float tube one day and he can show me how it's done.

I got a float tube guys. You never know, that might be the only way we'll be able to get out on the water for awhile.

I know right where we can go over here. Bass and catfish or trout? Up to you. Best let your wife heal up, then we can talk about it. I need to get up to Stumpy Meadows and see if I can get into the parking lot or if they have it taped off or whatever. Great little lake for a tube or kayak. Browns and rainbows. Brown bullheads. No bass that I know of. Ever had bullhead? Not bad.

Yeah, I',m not goin out yet. My weekend partner asked if I wanted to go out on the Petaluma River today and I sain not yet. Don't know if he caught any fish. He'll prolly call me tomorrow and let me know. Soon as Sue is able to stay by herself for the day, maybe I'll try to get over there and we can wet a line.

You should probably stay closer than over here, just in case. There'll be a time. A better time. Once she's comfortable and you are also. No need to be worrying about home while trying to relax and fish. You know what I'm sayin.
