Hi guys
Just came back from a day of surfcasting. Not even a bite. Spoke to the park ranger and he said it's been slim pickings for the past three days.

Anybody have any luck. I was fishing in a town called Ormond Beach near Daytona.

What were you throwing? What's generally out there? No luck here. Went out last Wednesday, nothing. Haven't caught one since last year. Not even a nibble. Still able to go though, that's lots better than some folks on here. Keep it wet.

Was using Fishbites for bait. Looking to get Pompano, Whiting, or Blues. Usually let em go when I do catch one. Just out there relaxing and getting some fresh air. Beats the hell out of staying home.

Fishbites? Is that something you buy or something you make or something you catch? And yes it certainly does beat the hell out of staying home. I've caught plenty of fish in my life but trying to catch more never gets old, success or not.

No it wasn't me. We normally fish our of the Ord Bend or Colusa area for stripers. Shasta lake most of the other lakes and streams are still open. We're going to Shasta next week and fish for trout and bass.

Hey FF have you ever fished Grace lake up in Shingletown? We used to live in Shingletown and my wife would outfish me every time we’d go.

Yes I have fished both Grace and Nora Lakes and lots of planters and occasionally a good sized brown 3-5 pounds. At the time we lived is Palo Cedro so fairly close. Do you fish the San Juans? We were up there a couple of years ago in September and the fishing was pretty much over.

I don’t have a boat so haven’t fished the San Juans yet. I do have a new fishing buddy who does so when we can go I’ll check it out and report back.
