What the hell is a "stripped bass" ? I've seen the term used here frequently, but have yet to figure/find out what it is.

Just as it says, it's a bass with stripes. Just goggle strip bass and you see all kinds of pictures of striped bass. Am I'm right old timers?

It's a saltwater fish . Some call it a rockfish. They swim upriver to spawn, some have been stocked in land locked lakes. The best time to catch large ones is winter after water temps drop below 50 .

Spell check apparently doesn’t like fish, fishing or fishermen(?) as it always auto corrects striped to stripped or stripers to strippers. Strippers always seem to get everyone’s attention, though. Just sayin’. Some Smart Phones may not be that smart. 😉

I thought spell check just added a B to the second word. That's why I looked I don't know anything or ever caught a Striped Bass. But I'm learning just in case.

Ken where are you located and which stretch of the sac are you talkin about? That's a long river. Please put your location into your profiled and we won't ask you anymore. This is the time of year to go try to find one of those big mamas, but it's gettin a little late so you better hurry.
