This is an ode to 77 years of marriage

People often ask
was it blood,sweat and tears?
that led you to be married
for nearly seventy seven years?

And is it exercise and hard work
is that how its done?
to be one hundred and one

The answer is simple
there was never any fuss
it was never you or I
it was always just us

We expressed our love for each other
each and every day
and we continue to do that
since she passed away

We talk of the good times
never anything bad
we pray together each night
thanking God for what we had

So to answer your question
about living to a hundred and one
the answer is "attitude"
that is how it's done
(Chuck Masara)

Chuck now a hundred and three
still drives his car.he paints pictures and lives alone, since his wife of seventy seven years passed away, three years ago.
This poem he wrote two years ago ,shows his outlook on life.
I wanted to share it with all my friends

the answer is "attitude"

Chuck has now also passed away(since this was written)

and I know he is with his beloved again

I wanted to share this with all of you

Didn't you know that Bahmer don't lie about the size of his fish? He has an elastic memory that never snaps back.....

Hang in there love is worth any and all efforts because it is work to have a strong marriage. We lost our son when he was 19 to a hit and run driver and you really need a good strong spouse during those times let me tell you my late wife was a rock and I leaned on her and I am not ashamed to admit it.
