My name is Dave & I just moved to Delaware in time to get quarantined! I've been fishing for many years. Mostly freshwater, but now I live pretty close to the Delaware Bay so I'm looking forward to getting out there. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations I'm all ears!
Welcome Davea1024: I'm sure there are others nearby and who will be along to advise you about
Delaware Bay. I wouldnt know the difference in it and Delaware Punch! Post some Pictures when you begin catching fish.
IN the meanwhile, you might go back to your profile and add your location, so it will show all the time and save everyone from wondering where U are. Just Sayin...RJS

Welcome to the Forum. First of all, I wouldn't go out and buy HD saltwater gear. In most cases, your freshwater gear will do just fine. Once this CV-19 has subsided, talk to the locals who are fishing or have been fishing. Spend some time at the boat landings, the pier, the surf, and the tackle shops. If there is a party boat nearby, give it a shot. Talk to the boat boy and the other fishermen on it. There isn't a whole lot of difference between saltwater and freshwater fishing, you will get the drift. Don't eat the hardheads!
I sent you a pm. We'll talk.
Stripers are showing up in the bay/river. try bloodworms or cut bunker. Are you fishing from the shore or a boat? Also catfish are plentiful in the rivers.
Was once stationed at Dover AFB, DE. Found good weak fishing out of Bowers Beach in the Spring.
