Why is it that many of our fishing lakes, rivers, and launches have been closed to fishing due to the Covid 19 virus; and a lot of golf courses are still open with golfers riding in carts shoulder to shoulder, butt to butt without masks on hitting a golf ball around. Don’t see where that is an essential activity either. :

Good point Cb. My son lives in Md and his course is closed, so I guess it all depends on the local Gov.

Yeah maybe that’s true. I guess we need to contact our state officials and ask this question. While most of us r staying low and following the rules. These people r still potentially spreading the virus. We need to all follow the guidelines and try and get this thing over with , so we can all get back to normal. Which includes getting back on the water

In Cheyenne the courses are open, but riding carts are forbidden. If you wanna schmeck them golf eggs, you gotta walk after them.

Like any other flu or cold situation we don’t go around sick people. My wife and I haven’t been within a 1/4 mile of anyone in the last 16 days. When I go fishing with my buddy from Bend he takes his own vehicle and stays 30 to 50 feet away from me. Outside of him it’s been a minimum of 1/4 mile. That’s how far it is from our house to the neighbor up here. I’ve been to the post office, two miles away, twice. Both times by myself and after it’s closed and nobody is there. Our post office is a little building 10 miles south of Riggins and not around anyone’s home. Pollock Idaho has a population of about 15/20 people and the only thing there, commercially, is the post office.

I am fortunate to live in the South for 6mos and North for 6mos and the restrictions in both areas are about the same. Boat launches are open for use (6' distancing in place). Golf in the South in some counties carts have been removed and in others a 'one person on cart' rule has been put in place. Fishing in the North is not restricted unless the ice is still present and it might be a bit early to hit the links with a cart but walkers will be playing.

Our governor loves golf courses. He owns a bunch of them. Let that money roll in.
