I don't know as I have not fished the American River since the 60's. My son lives in Folsom and fishes the upper out of Foresthill where we have property above where the dam was going to be built. My brother-in-law was one of the chief engineers on the Auburn Dam and said they spent millions on getting the area ready.

A long, long battle and not settled yet from what I hear. I have a dear friend that is a "canyon keeper" up there, they keep the area clean and do guided hikes and such. He is dead set against it. I kinda am too, it's a beautiful area. Be like building a dam and flooding Yosemite. Which is what they did at Hechhechie. Don't get me started.

Not long ago I saw 2 rigged worms red in color with similar names but different. One was called Anse the other Anise. Both were about 5” in length. Was I dreaming?
