Miles Standish and the Mayflower folks. Columbus never made it that far north. In fact, Columbus never made it to "America" at all.

Where did he land? I know the Vikings were here before Columbus.

Yes, about 500 years before Columbus. Think about that. Seems no one knows for sure where Columbus first made landfall in the Caribbean, but he went on to Cuba and Hispaniola. On subsequent voyages he went further south to Central America, but he never made it to the mainland North America.

That's interesting to know. Well they need a new name for Columbus day holiday. I sometimes wander what America would be like today if the Indians were able to keep all of USA instead of a few Indian tribal lands.
