Put in at dark last night and fished for close to three hours. Had a few nice fish and man the moon was bright, full moon coming. Love night time fishing not near as many boats to mess with.Water temp 62, winds calm, barometric pressure 29.80 falling

Was going stir crazy last night so around 11:00 I saw a truck and trailer pull down to the ramp. That was all I needed. Wife ask was I crazy to go out so late, guess I wasn't. may have to try that again, the moon is almost full beautiful night.

Usually the full moon in April around me there's a shad spawn and the fish go absolutely crazy. Since the shad here breed under low light conditions this is usually one of the best times to go. Unfortunately this year the water temp is a little low for an all out spawn but there was still a decent bite. Once the water temp gets close to 70* it will be on and I won't get a whole lot of sleep for several weeks.

Good ones!

One of my most productive outings was night fishing for crappie with floating lights. Came home about 4 Am with over 140 for the freezer.

Wow. If I had that many crappies in my freezer here in Wisconsin, is be in jail.

Tomorrow night (4/7) should be great. There is a full moon called "the fish moon" and will have a pink color to it. This one will be called a "supermoon".

And I just told the wife I'll be out there again tonight. There's a slight chance of rain here tonight maybe the clouds won't obscure the moon.
