Hi , just wanted to share my passion for fishing trout at night. I have a dock that has 8 green lights . This attracts redfish and trout . I use live shrimp and pin fish . I do very good . I’m fishing right now lol. If you have any stories you’d like to share that would be fun. I would take a pic but not sure how? Enjoy

Cubsfan: yep, I’ve fished underwater lights at my second home on Tiki Island, aGalvestion. Only problem I had was my place was at a 90 degree bend of the boat channel and boats would come too close to my dock would destroy my lights. After replacing them twice, I gave up, but they really work.

Along the way inter coastal canal between Port Isabel and Corpus Christ there are some crude cabins on piling you can rent for the night and the owner will run power to provide lights all night so one can catch school trout!
Just sayin...RJS

The lights used in those locations on the intercostal are above water. I think the trout are attracted to the bugs that fall into the water! Just sayin...RJS

Robert, I have seen those houses on pilings on the Laguna Madre and thought they were rather run-down Vacation Homes, while I guess they would be. I didn't realize that people would rent them for the night and fish out of them. Oh, that would be a big party time. You think anyone has fallen off of the decks?

I'm not exactly sure how to make contact with owners of those fishing cabins. Might ask some of the local bait stands. Or the sports section of local papers. When we fished them, it was catch till you had all you wanted to clean! Just Sayin...RJS

Oh man. There's been a sustained ESE wind just pushing water into the back bays and bayous. The beaches are closed and some parts of Galveston bay. We've been doing some green light fishing where it's normally brackish and doing well on founder as well. Right of the bank.
