πŸ‘‹ just got back into fishing after 20 years 36 now. I live in Richmond Va. and tend to fish every other weekend. Love to bait fish, stuck on the bank, till i find myself a decent boat. Even found a stocked trout bond near my house. Its amazing all of the skills i learned along time ago came right back and now cant get enough maybe obsessing but i dont care.

My wife doesn't like for me to be obsessed with things like that. She said if I would quit coonhunting I could fish all I wanted to, She Lied!! 4 1/2 years latter, she was begging me to start coonhunting again. I only did that 4 to 6 nights a week.

Awesome Bilbo! My daughter lives at Henrico so maybe I can get up with you to fish sometime. Lived in northern VA for 17 years but retired back to NC. Come to Richmond often but have never fished there. I’m mostly a saltwater surf fisherman. I love your enthusiasm for fishing though! Tight lines and welcome to the Fishing Stage!

Enthusiasm. Yes. That's the word. Not obsession. Tell your wife we said so. And join the rest of us enthusiastic guys and gals.

Yep, AS Spirit said, some words always have a positive slant, and some a negative one. Now, I was just wondering, when you said "coon hunting" there weren't any "cat Houses" near were there? That may have been why your wife was so adamant of your nightly prowls. Just Sayin...RJS

I’m from Oklahoma grew up on Long Island I pretty much fish year round. I know what you mean, it’s all I think about all week long. Wish I had the knowledge that I do now when I was growing up, I would have tore it up back on Long Island. Ever look at 2 man bass boats? I just bought a bass raider. Don’t cost a lot of money.

Yes, johnsherman. I've had 2 & caught a ton of fish out of them. My wife & I have fished all over oklahoma out of those things. I've also had mine in the Illinois river a lot. After a few years we wanted more room. We got a bigger boat but I didn't catch more fish. Enjoy your boat.

Went to the pump back over by Hudson today. Got 1 bass water temp is still 55 degrees. Maybe in a couple more weeks after they get all these lakes back down a little.
