Such a beautiful little girl Mike. Looks like she's a Grampa's girl too. I 've also got one. Mine's 14 years old and still loves to fish. Enjoy them while you can.

Isnāt that a switchblade ?
It sure saves the fingernails and getting old is an issue.

No. My grandson is a knife collecting little fool. Heās got a bunch of those with open assist knives. Almost a switchblade but not considered one. Theyāre not spring loaded.

Similar, but not the same. Which is what makes it legal to carry.

Right? I canāt remember back far enough to when I didnāt have a ājack knifeā. Before I started school I know that. Now kids get kicked out of school for having one. Oh how the times have changed. Heck my teachers used to ask to borrow mine when I was in grade school cuz mine was always sharp. š
Loaning your knife to your teacher brought back an old memory of mine.
When I was a young kid (8-13 yo), our church in Edwardsville, Ks. used to have a week/long āCamp Meetingā and the family that did the singing and preaching were called The Happy Goodmans. Many of yāall will prolly recognize that name , as they became quite famous in later years, but were just starting their careers at this time. Only had a couple albums back then.
Anyway, I was just learning to play the guitar at that time and was in the old brush arbor one day listening to them practice.
I can still remember like it was yesterday when Rusty Goodman asked if anyone had a pocketknife. A wire on one of the amps had broke and he needed to re-strip it to re-connect. I quickly took out my pocketknife and walked over and let him use it.
For those who have never heard of the Happy Goodman Family, this might sound silly, but for those who know who they are, youāll understand why it is still a ābig dealā to me. Thanks for reading. Let me know if youāve heard of them.

We have 16 of those Wiley little critters ranging from 3 to 22. Love every one of them. Only have about 4 fishermen in the bunch but they all have a special spot with gramma and grampa. Theyāre scattered from Wyoming to Germany. Kinda hard to keep track of em all.
