Sacramento Army Corp of Engineers just closed their reservoirs. No use whining about it but I'm glad I went Tuesday. https://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Media/News-Releases/Article/2127026/sacramento-district-closes-recreation-parks-and-lakes/

Poor Spirit, can't win, can't even fish to catch a fish.

Actually, where Spirit went fishin with the girls last wouldn't fall under that closure I don't believe. Least I hope not. There'a still gotta be some places to fish for all of y'all who CAN get out and go.

Well glad to hear she’s on the mend. I went out yesterday for the first time this year and was thinking about you as I launched. My actual thought was : “my first fish today is for Steve”.
Well.... I got skunked for only the third time in 25 years at this lake.
So that just means I still owe you one. Lol
Hang in there; we’re ALL behind you !! 🙏🏻

Thanks for the update and the concern. I don't fish any of those lakes, the only thing that would effect me is the parks on the Stanislaus and it doesn't open to fishing until the last Saturday in April - a month away. Who knows, maybe this will all be over by then. I know a couple of lakes that are still open and accessible, just have to adjust my plans.

Saw glad to hear your wife is doing as well as she is.
Randy you went out and got skunked? Sorry. We'll get em one of these days.

Hey Jimmy, thanks for your concern and prayers. She is comin along but it's gonna be a long road. Sure was lookin forward to our fishin trip. Who knows, maybe someday we'll still be able to get together and wet a line. Hope so anyway. Steve

This is another reason I am reluctant to go off very far for very long from home. Seems like Sue is getting more accident prone. One day last summer while I was off fishin for the day at Tahoe, she stepped on one of our BEAR BOARDS. There was a weed in the flower bed and she just didn't think and stepped up to pull the weed and 2 of the nails went right through her foot. Shoe and all. Least we found out that they work. Some workers were out in front of the house workin on the road and pulled her off and got her into the house. A lot of the places I fish doesn't have cell service so I didn't know anything about it till I got home. I would really hate to be off on a long trip away from home and something like that OR this last fall happen. Would not be good.

Another good reason we need to slow down a little as we get older. Can't just think about yourself.
