Hi was wondering what was your take on fishing during the current status quo.
If it is in an isolated area is it ok to do and are any "creatures of the sea" able to make you more succeptable. Thanks.

That completely depends on the laws where you live.
You cannot get coronavirus from fish.

I think if you're avoiding people you're in good shape. Fishing around other people, different story.

My wife and I are waiting for the local waters to warm up enough for the fish to start biting so that we can go kayak and rowboat fishing as we have already gone to shelter in place with the understanding that if one of us gets it the other was exposed 3 days before we were symptomatic.
The general concept is that there is a difference between and fishing and catching. If catching happens it will be a nice change in diet.

Fish cannot get Coronavirus. You’re safer out in the middle of a lake with nobody around than out in public.

I just walked down to the boat ramp and it was full of trucks and empty boat trailers. I guess everyone around me is practicing social distancing out on the lake.

Yup! But I'm staring out the window at fresh snow covering everything. I try to spend some time each day getting my fishing stuff ready and learning some new tricks from you-all.

Yup! The only problem is that I'm staring out the window at a coating of fresh snow! But I spend a little time each day fussin' with my fishin' stuff and learning some new tricks from you all. Enjoy the day!
I'm a little lucky I live in FL . I spend a lot of time by myself of course fishing . I bother no one and no one bothers me. That's what i like about being outdoors . Be safe go fishing . Pray that this virus will end soon.

Bull shoals MO. walleye running. Banks are packed with people. What Quarantine!?
To me out in a lake or on the shore would be one of the safest places you could be ,cant catch the bug from seafood. But the parks state and Fed. are closed . So you would have to find a place that isnt closed . But there are lots open. But I dont know if bait shops will be open .
