What line would you recommend for freshwater fishing, I will be using all sorts of lures like rooster tails and senkos. It will be paired with an Okuma Ceymar and an Ugly Stik GX2.
Thx for all your help

Braid. You can always add a flouro or mono leader if you want later. Plus braid doesn't degrade.

what pound should I get, Also does it matter what color I get?

I line most of my spinning reels with hi-viz or moss green 15lb braid. I use hi-viz with a leader for wacky and ned rigs. Moss green for the rest. Keep in mind, contrary to belief, the more brackish the water, the more braid is visible in it.

I've never tried that line, but I think it would work.

What fish are you fishing for and what type of an area? Lakes, rivers, ponds etc. Different lines work better for different situations like clear or dirty water, open water vs weeds and grass, rocks and submerged brush etc.

I use 10lb. monofilament line for top water lures and spinnerbaits and buzzbaits berkley and stren line
are my favorits.
Power Pro braid. 10# test will handle 90 percent of fresh water fish. You will also have a much better feel when using lures. The only mono I use anymore is for ice fishing.

Power Pro braid is good in stained water I have used it also. My favorite is still clear line.
Berkley big game line has a light colored line which does not have alot of stretch it works great for me
and power pro line is one of my favorite too.
