About the "Dumb Americans", Read where the Police Dept in Oregon is asking people to stop calling 911 because they are out of Toilet Paper!

Don't feel bad if it's your first
time seein' this; I'm just over
70, and I've never seen this
in my lifetime ('til now) !

Speaking of signs, I was headed to my favorite little lake today and as I passed Old School Road I saw a sign that said "WROMS FOR SALE". Go Figure!

Believe me, back in N.H., our snowstorms weren't just
occasional; I've seen my share
of nor'easters, sometime two or three in a season ! The first
winter I returned from Arizona
('03/'04) was one of the coldest, snowiest winters I can
remember ! I've seen the power
off for up to a week from the
ice storms taking power lines down ! Nobody panicked, and nobody raided any paper
products, although having been warned a day or two in advance
everyone stocked up on frozen foods, canned goods and
either candles or batteries !

I can’t help but think this virus thing is striking people differently. Those of us that served know about ABC warfare.
Then there’s the movies Hollywood has given us,( andromeda strain, outbreak, etc). Heck, let’s not forget about the claim that Weapons Of Mass Destruction were running amok in the Middle East just one generation ago.
Biological Warfare is something both man And nature can unleash upon the world.
Personally, I’m not worried. What will be, Will be. I just hope to get some fishing in this season. After that....eh.

Personally, I'm not all that concerned with my mortality at
this point in my life ! What happens, happens ! I'll just deal with it like everything else; take
it one day at a time ! My
metabolism is a little slow but stable, and my resistance is strong; was laid up for two
weeks with a really bad flu back
in Jan. of '79, but haven't had it
(or even a really bad cold) since
then ! Being the daredevil that I was back in my teens and
twenties, I never expected to
see thirty-five, and here I am at
71 with the same 'devil-may-care'
attitude ! Who knew ?

I know where you’re coming from there Big A. I too find it hard to believe I’m still standing as opposed to laying prone and pushing up daisies. Like I said, just give me some more time to go fishing,
I’ll be happy.😃

I'm definitely with ya on the
fishing ! Not sure if anyone's mentioned this to ya, but unless you're on the lam, hiding from debtors (or the IRS), or in
'witness protection', ya might
want to add your location to
your profile so's people will know
whether you live near them (or vice versa) if local advice is needed, offered or requested !
Where ya be, buddy ?

All of the above. Ya can find me everywhere, ( as opposed to anywhere).

The term is pre-nuclear; it meant
Atomic, Bacterial and Chemical warfare ! Once the Hydrogen Bomb was developed, the term became NBC for Nuclear,
Bacterial and Chemical
warfare !

Sorry, those of us in the Coast Guard were often left out of the loop.
Uh, question; pre nuclear?
How is it they had a term before the ‘Secret weapon ‘ was ever used? Wouldn’t that have given away the secret ??
